Slush’D Comes to Italy with Blum as Communication Partner

The brand is well-known: Slush originated in 2008 in Finland as an expression of a nonprofit movement led by students to unconventionally connect the entrepreneurial world with academia. From 300 participants in its first edition, the Finnish platform has grown to attract over 20,000 visitors, 5,000 startups, 3,000 investors, and 300 accredited media outlets in 2022.

Now, for the first time, Italy will host Slush’D, the “export” version of the original Finnish event. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at NOI Techpark and Fiera Bolzano in Bolzano. A team of young professionals, who have studied and worked both in Italy and abroad, is promoting the event with the shared goal of making a positive impact on the entrepreneurial and innovation environment at both local and national levels. The founders, Cristian Frigo, Serena Galli, and Stefano Ceravolo, are three young Italian professionals who, after spending several years studying and working abroad, reunited with a common purpose: to bring value back to the country that raised them. Blum proudly stands by their side as the communication partner for Bolzano Slush’D.

The aim is to involve 500 participants, including innovative startups, investors, corporate managers, venture capital funds, accelerators, incubators, and institutional representatives, creating a bridge between the main players in the local, national, and international ecosystems, with particular focus on the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The capital of South Tyrol will thus become the nerve center where ideas, projects, and visions will intersect, fueling the growth and development of new frontiers in entrepreneurial innovation.

The first Italian edition will focus on four key areas: Climate & Greentech, Food & AgTech, Digital & Automation, and Sport & Mountain Tech. Slush’D will feature a full day of activities with an intense program, thanks in part to the support of the Free University of Bolzano. The event will include roundtables, networking opportunities, presentations by startups and innovative companies, talent discovery, and numerous activities dedicated to investors. The first part of the day will be held at NOI Techpark, a hub focused on technological innovation through work and research. The evening will take place at Fiera Bolzano, with a dinner for investors and an after-party to close the event. This is a unique opportunity to meet like-minded people who share a common goal: shaping the future.

Pre-registration is now open on the event’s dedicated website, where you can also join the young team.
