FlyingBasket: Delivering Cargo by Drone to Remote Areas

They transport electrical cables across Chile’s rugged mountains, help deliver mail in the skies over Turin, and support forestry operations in Europe’s woods and forests. These are the drones from FlyingBasket, an innovative tech company that, in just a few years, has become a global leader in designing and developing cargo drones for logistics.

Founded in Bolzano in 2015 by two engineer brothers, Moritz and Matthias Moroder, the company has grown steadily, simultaneously developing both cutting-edge drone technologies and the know-how to put them reliably in flight. This growth culminated in spring 2024 when FlyingBasket became the first company in Italy to obtain the Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC).

Since spring 2024, Blum has supported FlyingBasket’s media growth and storytelling efforts, highlighting their innovative products and key projects.

our contribution
Strategic Consulting and Crisis Communication

Blum initially worked with FlyingBasket on managing an urgent communication situation, a relationship that evolved into strategic consulting to boost the company’s media positioning.

Media relations

We identified newsworthy stories tailored for national, local, and industry-specific media, enhancing visibility for the company’s leadership team. Our media relations activities included promoting major projects, such as daily drone mail deliveries from Bagnoli to Procida; transporting blood bags and biological samples in just 15 minutes from Santa Maria delle Grazie Hospital in Pozzuoli to Casamicciola Hospital in Ischia; and transferring equipment from vessels to offshore wind turbines for one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies in the North Sea.
